In the USA, our background is based on many factors---Andrew Strenk's
years of graduate and post graduate work in a university setting, studying all the factors involved with cause and effect,
with rules of evidence, with the concept of the historian as a detective, with determining the quality of primary
sources, with the value of secondary sources, with research and with fieldwork. This theoretical work was then augmented
by practical experience with an industry leader. Andrew Strenk spent six years working with John Fransen, at The Fransen
Company, one of the USA's premier retail consultants and a veteran of the development of many trend setting regional fashion
malls during his previous job with The Hahn Company. Andrew also benefitted from mentoring by William Dahl, an associate
of Victor Gruen. Gruen designed the first enclosed regional fashion malls in the USA beginning with Southdale Center
in Edina in 1956. William Dahl was involved with the development and design of many of Mexico's first major
shopping centers, including Perisur. In Mexico, our background is based on over 30 years of experience by Andrew
with the culture, and almost 20 years of consulting work with one of Mexico's premier retailers and retail
shopping center developers, Servicios Liverpool. We have recruited a multi-lingual, multi-cultural staff to be
better able to assess and interpret the behavior of the rapidly gobalizing consumer of today. We can combine and apply these
experiences and put them to work for you in the development of positioning and marketing strategies in the southwestern
USA, along the USA-Mexico border and in Mexico.

Our methods of research include very substantial time investments by team members in driving and walking targeted
study areas in both Mexico and the USA. Much of the existing published demographic and statistical data in Mexico is unreliable
without on-site verification. In the USA, the large and fast growing number of undocumented residents in certain areas
make existing governmental statistical surveys inaccurate as well.

Our team has been involved in researching, analyzing and consulting on project in over 125 different Mexican
metropolitan markets, cities and localities, including all the border markets and all the major and secondary interior cities.
On the USA side, we have examined and addressed the markets from Brownsville in Texas to El Centro, Calexico, Chula
Vista and San Diego in California.

Long-term, strategic alliances with a variety of well-established US and Mexican firms supplement, but do not replace,
our basic fieldwork both in the USA and in Mexico. The alliances add context to the task of gathering data and developing
strategics. These informal alliances, along with relationships with retailers, allow maximum flexibility in dealing with local
and regional cultural issues, consumer behaviors and variations in shopping habits in different areas---both along the
border and in the interiors of both the USA and Mexico.
